Premier Projects has helped plant 600 trees in Tanzania, as a show of their support for environmental conservation.
The bookmaker helped fund the work with the Habari Development Association.
The Association’s aims are to educate the public on social economic and development matters and to conserve the forest. They also strive to protect the environment from degradation, and to plant trees to prevent desertification.
Premier Bet and their charity division, Premier Projects, took part in the tree planting in the Tanzanian capital, Dodoma.
On top of this, Premier Bet also donated polo shirts to the local community.
A spokesman for Premier Bet Tanzania said: “At Premier Bet, we believe that protecting the environment is one of the leading challenges facing the world today. In our societies in Tanzania, failure to protect the environment can lead to major societal problems.
“Helping the Habari Development Association in their aims to conserve our environment and teach people of its importance, is something we are very proud of.”
