Premier Projects begins construction of major sports complex in Douala

Sports complex in Douala work starts
Premier Projects and RJC have begun the construction of a major sports complex in Douala. The construction will give residents access to state of the art sporting facilities.

The sports complex will include new handball, volleyball and basketball facilities at the Paul VI Provincial Seminary. Premier Projects, the charity division of Premier Loto,  will also renovate the existing football pitch.

Modern sports complex in Doula to be high quality

All three aspects of the sports complex in Douala will be brand new, modern and of the highest quality. Students of the Paul VI Provincial Seminary and the local community will now have access to important sporting facilities.

The work will cost 32,545,000F CFA ($55,000) and highlights further the commitment of Premier Projects and RJC to giving back to Cameroonian communities in need.

This comes hot on the heels of the announcement of a new health centre being built by RJC and Premier Projects. You can read about this centre here.

A spokesman for Premier Projects commented: “We are all very excited to see the construction of this sports complex in Douala begin. We believe that healthy communities are happy communities and this work confirms our commitment to helping people stay active.

“Everyone at Premier Projects wants to thank our partner, RJC, for assisting us in this important project, as well as the seniors at Paul VI Provincial Seminary. The school is an integral part of the religious community. Being able to provide future priests with a place to stay active is something we are proud of.”

The complex is expected to take 16 weeks to complete. Premier Projects confirmed that they will host an opening ceremony, with teams invited to compete. More details will follow.
