Premier Lotto and their charity wing Premier Projects have come to the aid of health centres in Mozambique.
Matola 2 region has received essential protective kits to help in the fight against the Coronavirus. This included hand sanitizer, gloves, masks and thermometers.
All of the equipment was supplied by Premier Lotto and Premier Projects, who have worked as the national lottery of Mozambique for a number of years.
The donation was well received by a doctor at the health centre, who explained: “If I’m protected, I’m able to offer better assistance for someone who needs my help.”
Premier Lotto donated thousands of supplies to Matola 2, which has a number of health centres and GPs. All of these will receive the protective kits as they continue to operate under the shadow of the pandemic.
It is believed that around 50,000 people are treated in these health centres a month. Each one of these will benefit from a fully-stocked medical practice. As the doctor said, if he is protected, he can protect and serve his community.
Now that Coronavirus measures are beginning to relax, workers believed this donation has come at the right time, as more people are confident to come to the health centres.
