Journalists in Cameroon receive aid from Premier Projects

Premier Projects came to the aid of journalists in Cameroon, as they sponsored an important meeting for the country’s media.

The community department of Premier Loto partnered with SEMES, a meeting organised by the National Union of Journalists in Cameroon.

SEMES raised awareness among 300 journalists, to insist on the construction of a healthy, professional and free press.

As a part of their sponsorship, Premier Projects paid for venue hire, permit manager, ambulance rental, t-shirts, marketing and anti-COVID-19 kits for journalists.

A spokesman for Premier Projects commented:

“We have worked tirelessly across Africa to help in matters of health and education. Our partnership with SEMES is a natural progression of our aims to improve health and education in Cameroon.”
“We are happy to be able to provide crucial funds for SEMES, to allow this event to exist, where journalists can learn from one another.” “We also believe in the right to a free press and the safety of journalists. Donating anti-COVID-19 kits will help the media continue their important work in Cameroon.”

The kits included hydro alcoholic gels and personalised face masks.

Premier Projects has donated PPE to combat the Coronavirus in Cameroon before. They also assisted in the education field when they donated computers to students in need.
